Ah...the games we play to get affection from our growing boys. Kyle is our snuggler, but as he gets older it's getting harder and harder to pin him down so I can kiss and squeeze him. I have had to resort to reverse psychology and say things like, "I'm too busy for loves right now so do Not come over here and give me a kiss." Or "You're stinky stay over there because I do NOT want hugs!" Always with a smile and it usually works. Gregg's Mom Kathy visited this past month and she came up with a great game to get some kisses from the little guy, (well I don't actually know how the game evolved, but I love it.) He would stand in front of her and scold, "No more kisses for YOU" pointing his finger. She in turn would pout, and he'd give in with a big smooch! Then he'd run off and start the little scenario all over again. She must have gotten 500 kisses while she was here!
No More Kisses for You
Okay you can have one! I can get him to play it with me every now and then, but I guess it's just not the same if it's not with Grandma B.
Carter: "I love you Mommy." Mommy: " I love you more!" Carter: "I love you up to the Mars in outerspace!" Mommy: "Wow, thank you Carter!" a few minutes later... Carter: "Mommy, whats Mars?"
Mom said, "Go clean under your Bed." Carter says, " No, we can wait until we move again and Daddy moves our bed, then we can clean up under it."
Kyles version of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star"...sing along with him; Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are. Up above the little guys, Like a triangle in the sky. Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are.
Driving home Mommy was tired of the noise and told the boys it was quiet time. Carter asked "Why Mom? Are you sick?" Mom, "No just irritated." Carter, "Oh are you irritated with Dad, because he is very irritating!"
Grandma Lou was getting the boys ready for bed nad Carter told her, "I don't need jammies on, I want to sleep naked like Daddy." (For the record Gregg does not sleep naked.)
Carter overheard Mommy telling Cameron "You're so cute I could just eat you up!" Carter said, "Mommy don't eat her then she will be back in your tummy and you'll have to go back to the hospital for the doctor to get her out again."
Tired of being ignored Kyle yelled, "Mommy, Focus!"
Carter thinks he can tell time. Upon seeing me look at the clock he will say somthing like, "It's 46 Mom." Or if I say "it's bedtime" he will tell me, "No it's not. It's only 98." or some other ramdom number.
Carter is convinced that our cat poops in a "Glitter Box".
Carter finished his third helping of pancakes and said, "I ate all of them mommy. Now I have a big fat tummy like you."
When Kyle wants a turn holding Cameron he says, "Mommy I hold that baby now" as if I would give him some other baby to hold.
Daddy was teasing Carter at dinner and said, "Carter you stink." Carters relpy, "No I don't Daddy! I'm so stinkin' cute!"
